Nature is at the heart of everything we do at Kids Love Nature, from our approach to education to the way each individual forest kindergarten is designed and managed on a day-to-day basis. Below are some of our key values and some of our favourite activities, which we believe help children to embrace nature at its finest.

Physical spaces

The synergy between outdoor and indoor spaces offer children the opportunity to learn in new and different ways, meaning what's discovered outside can be explored further inside, and vice versa. At all our kindergartens, children are able to choose where they work and play.  We understand that not all children want to be outside 100% of the time and are therefore able to make the most of the learning experiences that can arise from being in the natural world.

Each of our forest kindergartens allow children to embrace nature in different ways from our Marwell Zoo location that allows children to get up close and personal with the animals and learn from the zoo rangers, to the acres of green space that our Avon Heath kindergarten has to offer. Our kindergartens are truly extraordinary, letting children explore without limitations!

Our educational approach

This is a hugely important part of our forest kindergarten set up and the main reason why Kids Love Nature was evolved in the first place.

Children are innovators, scientists and researchers who are fascinated by the world, and document their life experiences through play, art, music and language. Our education approach stems from this, allowing children to develop remarkable skills of critical thinking and their imagination.

Giving children choice

No two children are the same, and for this reason they shouldn't all follow the same routine or pattern. A child's development between 2 and 5 years is crucial, and giving them the choice will develop freedom and independence.

It will allow them to work out what is right and wrong on their own whilst being guided in the right direction by the help of our team. Nature has a massive influence on this choice; playing and exploring in the giant sandpits, learning skills round the fire and building dens is all helping them to grow as a human being.
