All about Avon Heath.

The Kids Love Nature Kindergarten at Avon Heath opened in August 2012, and was our very first. It was also the first kindergarten in the country situated on a Country Park and partnered directly with the Rangers. Its first Ofsted inspection was awarded Outstanding in all areas in January 2013 and awarded Outstanding again at its second inspection in February 2020.

This is the original Kids Love Nature Kindergarten and what a location! Surrounded by 300 acres of stunning heathland, it also features two beautiful classrooms and a one acre private garden with woodland, veggie garden, supersized sandpit, fire pit, pond, mud cafe, outdoor classroom and 4 resident chickens.

It is the dream place for your child to have the finest early years experience. Our highly qualified and dedicated team take pride in the nurture they give your child from day one, quickly discovering your child’s individual interests and making an emotional connection that will allow them to flourish. Our in-house cook provides delicious organic home cooked meals to ensure energy levels stay high for all the daily learning adventures.

At Avon Heath Country Park the protected heathland is one of the rarest habitats in Europe. Many of the animals here are protected species and can't be found anywhere else on Earth. As a result, this heathland has SSSI (site of special scientific interest) status.

The country park is beautifully maintained by the Countryside Rangers, who work with the children and teachers of the kindergarten everyday during ‘Explorer Sessions’ teaching the children about the unique habitat and the importance of conservation. These sessions compliment wonderfully the rich learning that takes place in the beautiful classrooms and 1 acre garden.

Things to know:

Ages 2 - 5 years
Our opening hours are 7.45am - 5pm with a commuter hour from 5pm - 6pm, 51 weeks of the year.
Registration Fee £50
A £200 deposit is required to secure an offered place and is returned through your final invoice
2, 3 and 4-year old funding available
Minimum of 2 full days or 3 half days per week

Current Fees

2-5 year olds 7:45am to 5pm - £71 (add the commuter hour with tea from 5pm-6pm for £11) - includes home cooked lunch and snacks, nature school sessions in the country park with the rangers, visiting artist fees, cooking sessions and relaxation sessions.
