We are very excited to announce that we have recently taken on our latest Kindergarten, which will be opening at the beginning of September. Here’s everything you need to know about our latest addition:

Where is it?

The Kindergarten is based in Lytchett Minster, just a 1/2 a mile from the Bakers Arms roundabout. It’s a great location for families in both Poole, Upton, Dorchester, Wareham, Corfe Mullen, Broadstone and Wimborne due to its road links.

The Lytchett Kindergarten is in the old school house that was Willow Lodge Montessori.

How will it differ from the other Kids Love Nature Kindergartens?

We like each Kindergarten to have its own identity but the ethos will be the same, to make everyday extraordinary. This is the 5th Kindergarten that we have opened since Avon Heath in Ringwood and we are very excited about the unique learning environment this school building offers.

The same approach to education will always be carried through to each Kindergarten; we recognise the importance of focusing on independence, creativity, freedom and setting children up to thrive into adulthood.

We are currently working on getting Lytchett ready for children to join in September! The outdoor space is being remodelled with lots of exciting new features and indoors there will be a full refurbishment with new art room, classrooms for 1, 2 and 3+ year olds, plus all new classroom equipment throughout.

A strong connection to nature is key for both staff and children, and this is no different at Lytchett. The Kindergarten will benefit from large outdoor spaces and they’ll learn through a range of engaging activities, some of which will include baking, exploring, building, arts and crafts and gardening.

We have also partnered with the charity Sustainable Food City, which will allow children to develop and work on the nearby polytunnels, pond and orchard on a daily basis.

“Many parents have asked us when we will be setting up a nursery with good commuter links between Poole, Wareham and Dorchester. When this opportunity came up it was the perfect setting for us, and fitted all our key criterias.” - Alex Shepherd, Director of Kids Love Nature.

Will there be an open day?

We will be running an open day on Saturday June 23rd from 10am - 12pm, which will give families the perfect opportunity to explore the Kindergarten and speak to the staff who will be able to answer any questions you have.

You can sign up for the open day here.
