In the below Q&A, we’ve covered some of the frequently asked questions that our staff receive when a parent is interested in enrolling their child at Kids Love Nature.
Do all the Kids Love Nature Kindergartens offer the free funding?
Yes! You can receive your 30 hours free funding from any of our 4 Nature Kindergartens; the team at our Lymington, Marwell Zoo, Durlston, Lytchett Minster and Avon Heath Kindergartens will be happy to discuss the enrollment process with you.
Am I eligible for the 30 hours free funding?
You will be eligible for the funding if you:
Earn less than £100,000 a year
Work more than 16 hours per week
Both you and your partner are in employment or the single parent must be working
You can only receive the funding after your child turns 3 and before they go into reception at school. Your child must live with you to be eligible.
If I’m not eligible for the 30 hours, can I still receive any free funding?
The government scheme means that if you are not eligible for the full 30 hours free funding, you will likely be able to get 15 hours free, as this is universal.
How do I apply for the free childcare?
The application process is simple and is done through the government website, which you can find here (it usually takes around 20 minutes to complete). You will need the following to apply:
Your child’s National Insurance Number
Your taxpayer number if you are self-employed
