On Saturday 17th February over 124 people attended our Marwell Zoo Open Day! A lot of fun was had by the children, giving them the chance to experience our Nature Nursery first hand and giving parents the opportunity to learn more.

What we got up to

With one of the most amazing settings a child could ask for, our Marwell Zoo Nursery overlooks both the penguin enclosure and the giraffes!

The children had a range of activities to enjoy whilst parents spoke to members of the team about the Kids Love Nature approach and how we develop freedom, confidence and creativity in every child who enrols with us.

Some of the fun-filled activities we had organised included;

  • Making soup on the fire pit

  • Playing in the mud kitchen

  • Exploring the massive sand pit

  • Experiencing a Mini-Zoologists Explorer Session

  • Having a tour of the classrooms, art studio and snug room along with the dining room and nursery kitchen

  • Decorating home baked scones
