With views overlooking the penguins and giraffes, acres of outdoor space to enjoy, access to a stunning zoo, and the most amazing indoor learning space, it’s no surprise that our kindergarten at Marwell Zoo is recommended and loved by many children and parents around Winchester.
With limited spaces left, here’s how you can join the adventure with Kids Love Nature.
What are some of the key features at the Marwell kindergarten?
With our incredibly unique setting, we are able to offer your child a diverse range of learning tools, allowing their mind to run wild on a daily basis. The teaching approach that we follow means that outdoor exploring is a key element, so wellies are a must have! Some of our favourite features include:
A unique setting - direct access to the zoo with regular park ranger sessions.
Plenty of space - we are lucky to have 2 large classrooms, a sleep room, nature room, music room, parent room, large grown-up kitchen and dining hall.
Nature at our fingertips - we also have access to a nearby nature reserve where we build dens, learn about the wildlife and explore everyday.
Are there spaces available?
At the moment, we have spaces available for children aged between 2 and 2 ½ years old in our Penguin room. You can still enrol for the giraffe room which is suitable for 3-5 year-olds, as we have a waiting list which you can join. We already have lots of families signed up for 2019 and 2020, so don’t miss out.
What age can my child enrol at the Kindergarten?
Our Winchester nursery at Marwell Zoo accepts children from 2-5 years old.
What have parents got to say?
Our Winchester nursery is extremely popular with families and has had 5* feedback on Facebook and has received a 9.8 out of 10 rating on Day Nurseries. Here are some of our most recent reviews:
We are extremely happy with the care and support this nursery has provided our child. We found the approach and ethos this nursery has is different from the norm, however, exceeds every expectation! We were quickly confident in their approach to nurturing and developing children and we believe this approach gave our child the most solid platform to excel at school. - Parent
My daughter attended Marwell nature nursery for 2 years and she absolutely loved it. The setting was an ideal way for her to spend her toddler and preschooler years. She came home full of wonderful stories about stomping in the forest or learning about animals in the zoo. - Parent
Such a special place for kids to just be kids! Playing in the mud and going on adventures and learning along the way. Staff are amazing and so supportive nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend this nursery! - Parent
Can I come and visit the Winchester nursery before making my decision?
Yes of course! We run regular open days for families to come and experience our Winchester nursery first hand and find out more about the approach that we take to learning. Take a look at our events on the website to see if any open days are coming up.
If you can’t make an open day, we can also offer showrounds at a time that suits you, where you will meet our Kindergarten Manager, Hayley, and be able to ask any questions you have in order to make your decision.
